I’m very proud to reveal five of the cast members for the upcoming film “A Tale from the Woods”, a documentary about our relationship to the forest. You can see their introductions in the videos below.
The film is a response to the forestry lobby in Sweden that has been busy of late spreading false propaganda in order to keep up business as usual, while camoflaging themselves as “green”. To read more about that campaign (and my response to it), click here. The film will premiere at the end of March 2020, and will be available here at Campfire Stories shortly thereafter.
In addition to the five participants below, an additional secret cast member will also be part of the film, lending some of his/her star power to this project!
Mikael Karlsson is the founder of the Ecoforestry Foundation in Sweden. He’s also the author of the book “The art of felling trees and still having a forest”. (Konsten att hugga träd och ha skogen kvar).
Maria Westerberg, aka “Vildhjärta” (Wild Heart), is an artist, poet and author, belovedly famous for her “twig art”.
Andris Birdwhisperer is a nature guide, tracker and bird expert who can imitate the bird call of around 150 different species. Some of his outrageous skill is on display in the first chaper of the film Morphic Resonance.
Rebecka Le Moine is a biologist and a politician. She is the spokesperson for issues relating to biodiversity for the Swedish Green Party (Miljöpartiet). She’s also an amazing spoken word artist, slamming her opinions in the form of poetry. Click here for an example.
Anders Lindroth is a researcher at BECC – Biodiversity and Ecosystem services in a Changing Climate of Lund University and University of Gothenburg.
